Culture Night's over.. wow, I can't believe it. Time has flew by so fast and there's less than three weeks left of school now. I'm so proud of everyone who helped out on CACN! It was a wonderful opportunity to work with everyone.
This week's afterevent is clubbing! It's CA's last clubbing event of the year so you all should definitely join us! We'll be going to InCahoots in Fullerton this Thursday; express tickets are only $10! Make sure to bring state-issued I.D.!
Nominations are open from now until the day of elections (Thursday of Week 10). Remember, only paid members are eligible to run! Contact Lilly at president@cauci.org for information or to nominate someone.Yes, you can nominate yourself! Semiformal is coming up! It's CAUCI's huge end-of-the-year celebration, where we recognize this year's members and welcome in next year's executive and constituent boards. Semiformal this year will fall on June 7th (the Friday after Elections / Week 10), and ticket prices have been determined - $65! There will be a discount for couples, so start stressing!
Planning meetings will resume this Friday. Meet at the CCC Ring Room at 5:30pm!
CULTURE NIGHT IS IN A COUPLE MORE DAYS.. ahhh I'm so excited! You're still able to buy tickets from our booth in humanities plaza! $8 for UCI and $11 for nonuci. Come out and watch this amazing show that 100+ people have worked hard on.
This week's afterevent will be a relatively calm affair; we'll be heading to Ruby's Diner, then watching a movie at Edwards Irvine Spectrum! Been meaning to watch Iron Man 3 or The Great Gatsby, but feel like you never had the time? Now you have no excuses! Would you rather stay on campus? UCI's volleyball team will be playing at the ARC this Thursday evening, so go out and support!
It's that time of the year.. Think you've got a friend who's got what it takes to lead CAUCI into glory next year? Board nominations begin this Thursday! You are not required to be at meeting to nominate someone; you can e-mail Lilly Liem at president@cauci.org or send her a text (626-600-2169)! Remember - candidates must be paid member of CAUCI to to be eligible!

This week's afterevent will be an old favorite - Casino Night! Come dressed to impress (semiformal or business casual!) and get ready to win some great prizes! Bring some cash; all funds raised will go towards facilitating more great events for you guys. Casino Night will include various games, both those you might expect at a casino and.. some you might not. Don't worry if you think you might not know how to play - we're willing to teach you!
Can't make it to the afterevent? Fear not! CA never runs out of events for you to get involved with! After Casino Night, come out and cheer on our volleyball team at the ARC! The game starts at 11:30PM. ^__^ They pulled offf a pretty impressive performance last week, and your support can only help! Too far to travel, or still hungry for more? We're following up last week's Blaze Pizza event with a Wetzel's Pretzels fundraiser! Drop by Wetzel's anytime from 5PM to 10PM for some hot soft baked fresh pretzels, pretzel dogs, or whatever you're craving! No flyer needed - just drop your receipt into the CAUCI box on the counter!
Culture Night's in less than two weeks! Skit, Dance, constituents, and alumni orgs are all hard at work making sure this year's show will be one to remember! Every year, CAUCI's activities and events culminate in one big celebration - which we call our semi formal. It's where we recognize the hard work that all of our members have put in during the year, say goodbye to our graduating seniors, and welcome in next year's board. This week's afterevent is zombieland! It's a new game we're bringing out this year, and it's going to be ridiculously fun! The basic gist of it is that everyone will split up into two teams, with each team taking turns attempting to complete a task for points while the other team tries to stop them. It'll be great fun so bring your friends! Also, from 9pm to 12am, we're having a fundraiser at blaze pizza! the flyer you need is here.

all-cal is this week! Come support cadc at what we expect to be their twelfth consecutive win! Tickets are $15 each. Contact a board officer to get one (but we're currently sold out! :/). This is a clubbing afterevent, so 18+ government ID, such as a drivers license, (not school ID) will be required!
Constituent event was a ton of fun! The weather was super gloomy, but luckily it didn't rain out on us! It was a really fun experience to bond with everyone through ice breakers, activities such as the relay and through grubbing! Thanks to everyone from CAMA, CADC, SYT, and even general members who came out to make it all possible.
But constituent-related fun isn't over yet, not by a long shot! CAUCI will be at wayzgoose This saturday! Our board will be selling food (steamed buns (baos)! yum yum) and drinks near the stage, where CADC and CAMA will both be performing!
After that, we'll be heading over to ACDA dance festival at san gabriel mission playhouse! Rides will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. The student center in conjunction with the mahjong club will be hosting a mahjong tournament on saturday, may 11th! There is an entrance fee of $10, and the first place winner will receive a $300 cash card, while 2nd to 4th places will receive free mahjong sets. Constituent event will be this Saturday, from 11am-2pm in aldrich park on the field closest to rowland! Come and bond with cama and cadc! Bring a small amount of cash, around $5, to pay for food and wear something you can move around in.
This week's afterevent is easter egg hunt! We'll be traipsing around aldrich park finding eggs, solving quests, and dropping knowledge! The winning group will get a prize! And that's not all - lollicup will be hosting a 50% off celebration for us after the afterevent! wear your ca shirt and get drinks half off from 10pm til closing!
